“ Great food made to order!!! Stopped in for a quick dinner and was not disappointed at all. Food was amazing and full of flavour while portions sizes were fairly big and prices competitive. Great menu selection from sushi and sashimi to udon and ramen noodles and katsu and rice. Excellent service, super friendly and professional as well accommodating. ”

“ Wow this place did not disappoint. I got salmon sashimi, spicy salmon rolls and Toro nigiri. They were all amazing and the toro was so good I had to have a second order. I also love how casual it is inside. I was dining alone and felt totally comfortable and the staff were very friendly ”
“ Stopped off here on the way from Nanaimo to Strathcona Park Lodge to pick up some dinner to go en route. And boy was I glad we did! Ordered the Crunchy Tuna Roll, Assorted Sashimi, Taiyo Special Assorted Sushi and Deep Fried Chicken Skins. The sushi and sashimi tasted fresh and delicious but the deep fried chicken skins stole the show! THEY. WERE. AMAZING! They tasted light but crispy, savoury enough without the guilty sensations of being too salty or oily! The to-go service was friendly and welcoming and we did not have to wait long for the order to be ready. Overall it was well worth the visit and definitely on the list to repeat but next time to dine in hopefully! ”

“ Real home authentic Japanese food with a touch of upscale. I prefer this place over the more popular and expensive Nori. They make the food fresh, delicious and a touch fancy but not over the top. Prices for the quality is good and the service was friendly. The only minor annoyance is finding parking but it's worth it. Overall I recommend this place over Nori for Japanese cuisine. ”
